For this third edition, FIFAD is once again taking place at the Villars Palace, offering a programme that combines film screenings, discussions, conferences and inspiring encounters centered around our mountains and the people who live and breathe them.

Although deeply rooted in the Ormonts Valley, FIFAD’s reach extends far beyond. Thanks to the commitment of its partners and close collaboration with the Villars Institute Foundation, the festival continues to expand “into space” with FIFAD@Villars, a winter event that has become unmissable.

FIFAD and the Villars Institute Foundation share a common vision: to raise awareness across all generations about the crucial challenges of sustainable development, global warming which particularly affects Alpine regions and the preservation of our natural heritage.

The 2026 edition will present a Best Of selection of the finest films from FIFAD 2025, exclusive meetings with directors, athletes, scientists and committed public figures, as well as a special environment and climate day designed especially for young people.

The festival bar, located in our salon Hergé, will open one hour before each screening so you can enjoy a friendly moment before and/or after the films, and discover the pop-up mountain bookshop.
